With fossil fuel prices across the world soaring, while the cost of renewables continues to fall, green hydrogen is emerging as an ever more attractive alternative to fossil fuels and power the energy transition. In July 2022, green hydrogen now costs less than natural gas in several European countries. Yet fulfilling the potential of green hydrogen requires large-scale investments across the value chain and multi-stakeholder partnerships across sectors and borders.
The Green Hydrogen Catalogue, launched at last year’s UN High Level Week, is a platform for dialogue, showcasing ambition and sharing experiences. This year, the Green Hydrogen Catalogue flagship event will bring together key actors to discuss how to address current barriers, including lack of regulatory guidance and frameworks, infrastructure and investments, to create the necessary enabling conditions for scaling up green hydrogen production to deliver on the promise of a decarbonized economy.
This event will focus on how international collaboration creates enabling conditions for key aspects required to deliver the promise of a decarbonized society, including regulatory guidance and frameworks, infrastructure and investments.
